How is immediate loading treatment performed?
Modern technology has advanced by leaps and bounds both in terms of aesthetics and treatment times in dentistry. With the immediate loading technique, the tooth can be restored in just one session in less than 24 hours thanks to the new computer-guided technology and the immediate grinding of the prosthesis.
A 3D optical scanner, in just a few minutes, is capable of making a perfect copy of the anatomy of all the patient’s teeth, making moulds a thing of the past. In the same session, prior to tooth extraction, we use an optical scanner to reproduce your teeth and gums. It is not necessary to take moulds or impressions.
The damaged tooth is carefully extracted, then, after a 3D radiology study, the implant is placed in the bed left by the extracted tooth. By means of a new optical scan of the position of the implant, the software allows us to merge the image of the implant and the gum, maintaining the anatomy of the tissues exactly. With all this information we will design your provisional implant crown, which will be placed in the same session if the criteria for immediate loading are met.
In just one appointment, less than 24 hours, we will recover the aesthetics and function of the extracted tooth. After 4 months, the definitive crown will be fitted without the need for moulds.

One of these new techniques is computer-guided surgery, a technique that allows us to place the implants in exactly the right place. This is because we have previously planned the intervention using the computer and 3D technology. We have also developed conscious sedation, which consists of administering a mixture of Oxygen and Nitrogen Protoxide (also known as laughing gas) through a nasal mask. Thanks to this treatment, a state of comfort is achieved, but without the patient losing contact with the environment. It is therefore indicated for short procedures to improve the patient’s state of well-being and level of cooperation.
